Senior Residential Care Worker

At Cambian, we provide specialist education and behavioural health services for children in the UK.

We’re looking for a Senior Residential Care Worker to assist the Registered Manager or the Deputy Manager in achieving our aims and demonstrating Cambian’s values. 

You’ll support and manage a team in line with National Minimum Standards to help meet the needs of the children and young people, as well as working with other professionals to achieve optimum outcomes for young people. This will include creating rotas which fit best with children’s needs and which allow proper handovers between shifts.

You’ll attend childcare reviews and planning meetings to help achieve the best outcomes for young people, as well as maintaining accurate written records, continuation sheets and files to support regular monitoring and evaluation.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Diploma Level 3 Children & Young People Workforce (or a desire to work towards obtaining)

• 12 months relevant supervisory experience

• Understanding the needs of BESD children, including managing challenging behaviour

• Awareness of the Children Act, of Equal Opportunities/ADP issues, and other relevant legislation.

• Ability to manage teams effectively
